Darkness, silence, the soft steps of a reindeer — and maybe the sky starts to dance.
SieriPoro is an authentic Lappish reindeer farm by Lake Sierijärvi, about 15 km from Rovaniemi. The family has herded reindeer here since at least 1800 and today looks after more than 200 reindeer of all ages.
After dark you ride a reindeer sleigh 2.5–3.5 km (depending on snow) through the quiet forest, watching the sky for the northern lights. Then you warm up in the Kammi cottage with hot berry juice and a Finnish pastry, and hear about Lappish life and reindeer herding by the fire.

Free cancellation up to 15 days before the tour. 14–8 days before: 5% fee. 7–3 days before: 70% fee. 2 days or less: 100% fee. If the tour is cancelled because of a lack of snow (November–December or April), you get a 100% refund.

How does booking work?
Send us your preferred date and number of people. We confirm the time and pickup with the farm and reply by e-mail within 24 hours; you pay only after confirmation.
Will we see the northern lights?
We can’t promise it — the aurora needs a clear sky and solar activity. The ride through the dark forest is beautiful either way. Watch the Aurora LIVE page on the day.
Can children join?
Yes — children under 15 join together with their parents. Children aged 4–14 have a lower price, infants (0–3) go free. The minimum is two paying adults per booking.
What if there is not enough snow?
Sleigh rides depend on snow. If the tour is cancelled because of a lack of snow in early winter (November–December) or in late spring (April), you get a 100% refund.
What are the cancellation terms?
Free cancellation up to 15 days before the tour. 14–8 days before: 5% fee; 7–3 days before: 70%; 2 days or less: 100%.
