Overview
For those who want more time in the forest — the longest reindeer ride at the farm.
SieriPoro is an authentic Lappish reindeer farm by Lake Sierijärvi, about 15 km from Rovaniemi. The family has herded reindeer here since at least 1800 and today looks after more than 200 reindeer of all ages.
The long safari takes you 3.5 km deeper into the snowy forest — about 50–60 minutes in the sleigh to relax, enjoy the silence and watch the winter landscape. Hot berry juice and a Finnish pastry by the fire round off the trip.

What to wear: Overalls and boots are provided. Bring a warm base layer, a hat, gloves or mittens and a scarf.

Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 15 days before the tour. 14–8 days before: 5% fee. 7–3 days before: 70% fee. 2 days or less: 100% fee. If the tour is cancelled because of a lack of snow (November–December or April), you get a 100% refund.
If we cancel because of weather or animal welfare, you get a full refund or a new date.

How does booking work?
Send us your preferred date and number of people. We confirm the time and pickup with the farm and reply by e-mail within 24 hours; you pay only after confirmation.
Can children join?
Yes — children under 15 join together with their parents. Children aged 4–14 have a lower price, infants (0–3) go free. The minimum is two paying adults per booking.
What if there is not enough snow?
Sleigh rides depend on snow. If the tour is cancelled because of a lack of snow in early winter (November–December) or in late spring (April), you get a 100% refund.

Can we come by our own car?
Yes — the farm is at Kurivaarantie 203, 96600 Rovaniemi (about 20 minutes from the centre). Please arrive about 5 minutes before the start but not more than 15 minutes early, so the reindeer are not disturbed. Stay by your car and the guide will come for you.
