Overview
For adults who want a real musher’s day in the wilderness.
SoulMate Huskies is a small family kennel on Ritavaara hill in Pello, Finnish Lapland, run by Satumarja Stenman — a certified professional animal trainer who breeds and races Siberian huskies. Tours are private and in small groups, and the dogs are part of the family.
The full-day tour takes you 20–25 km into the wilderness. You drive your own dog team (or share a sled) and stop for a wilderness lunch cooked from local ingredients. The tour is for adults in normal physical condition.

Meeting point
SoulMate Huskies, Ritavaara — Rovaniementie 56, 95700 Pello (follow the route on the map, the turn is before this address). About 1 h 20 min by car from Rovaniemi along road 83. Transport is not included — a rental car is easiest; a transfer from Rovaniemi can be arranged on request.
How to find it
Please arrive about 5 minutes before the start (± 8 minutes). Allow extra time — even though the road is straight, people drive slower in winter. Careful: navigation takes you about 50 metres past the turn. Just before the address turn LEFT, and immediately LEFT again (an inconspicuous turn), then follow the forest road for about 400 metres — see the route on the map. When you see an iron gate and the dogs, leave the car at least 30 metres before the farm. The dogs get very excited when guests arrive — wait by the gate and stand calmly, the guide will come for you.
